The Weekly Leadership Hour That Changes Execution

Companies do not usually fail for lack of workshops. They fail because the only recurring hour is a tour of red slides. A weekly leadership hour changes execution when it is short, owned, and allowed to kill work.
This is a design note, not a ritual to roll out with a branded name.
What belongs in the hour
Three items: what moved, what is stuck, and what we will stop. If you cannot finish that in sixty minutes, the list is a portfolio, not an agenda. Split it.
Pair this with Strategic Leadership Coaching and Coaching for Remote-First Leadership Teams when the team is not in one city.
Compare it with the meetings you already have
| Meeting | Job | Why it is not the leadership hour |
|---|---|---|
| ExCo monthly | Decisions that need the full set | Too slow for weekly drift |
| Ops stand-up | Incidents and flow | Too low for trade-offs |
| Transformation steerco | Programme theatre | Will not kill ordinary work |
| Board | Assurance | Wrong audience |
| This hour | Pace, stuck work, and stops | Only if it stays small |
Rules that keep it alive
The CEO may not cancel it for travel. Deputies run it if the CEO is in the air. Visitors do not attend. Slides are optional; a shared list is not. If the same item appears three times, it becomes a decision paper, not a status line.
