The Executive Coaching Blog is your source for information and insights about JLJ and Associates’ approach to executive coaching, coaching for spouses of C-Suite executives, and the role culture plays in businesses and organizations of all sizes.
This blog is authored by Jan Moorad — an executive coach dedicated to inspiring and empowering clients to achieve their pinnacle of personal and professional fulfillment through balanced growth.
Jan’s approach is rooted in the Townsend Leadership Group’s Competence Plus Character growth model and her conviction that Learning + Action = Change. While nurturing a relationship of mutual trust, Jan collaborates closely with clients to assess their opportunities, strengths, and challenges; set attainable goals and objectives; and establish development and accountability plans for optimal results.
Jan mastered the concept of balanced growth in her own life, during which she built a successful career while managing a home and raising her three (now adult) children. Upon receiving her MBA from Vanderbilt University, Jan joined the ‘Big Four’ audit, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services firm Deloitte as a management consultant in the organization’s New York City headquarters. She then became a partner in two Major League Baseball teams (the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres) along with a professional NASCAR team (Hall of Fame Racing).
On her own journey of personal and professional fulfillment, Jan discovered a passion for coaching business owners, Fortune 500executives, executive-level teams, and the spouses of business owners and C-level executives. Her philosophy supports the integration of relationship and character building which she believes is critical for personal and professional success.
Jan now holds an Advanced Certification in Executive Coaching from The Townsend Institute and is a TLG-certified role-play coach. She is also certified in administering and interpreting the emotional intelligence assessments EQi 2.0 and EQi 360 Feedback, and the Townsend Personal and Relational Assessment Tool (TPRAT). Jan has been a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) for over 20 years and now coaches and facilitates YPO Forums. Jan’s additional areas of expertise include cultural analysis, change management, coaching boards of directors, and facilitating in-house and off-site team retreats.
A member of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association-Orange County Division, and a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Museum of Orange County (aka Pretend City), Jan will begin work on a Doctorate degree in Leadership starting in 2020.
